The trial clock lives on our server keyed to your machine, so reinstalling doesn't restart it. Offline first launch? You get a 3-day provisional trial that converts automatically at first contact.
When the trial ends, nothing locks: the app stays fully usable, your scenes and settings stay yours. The video output (virtual camera, recordings, streams) carries a watermark until a license is entered.
A license is $99 one-time — two Macs, 12 months of updates included, and the version you own works forever. After the first year, updates can be renewed for $49/year; it's a manual purchase, never a stored card or auto-charge.
After checkout your key (format: VM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) appears on the thanks page and in email. Activate in Settings → License — paste, click Activate, done.
One license covers 2 Macs. Moving machines? Deactivate This Mac in Settings → License frees the seat instantly; activate on the new machine with the same key. If a third Mac tries, the message lists which Macs hold the seats.
A licensed Mac checks in quietly about weekly. No network? The license keeps working for the 30-day lease plus a 14-day grace period — a plane, a venue basement or a server outage will never watermark your show. Re-check license now in Settings → License forces a fresh check any time.
