The virtual camera doesn't appear

Install or re-approve the extension: Status tab → Install / Update Extension, then System Settings → Privacy & Security → allow. After a macOS update, a re-approval is occasionally required. The meeting app must be restarted after the camera first appears.

No audio devices / call can't hear me

Status tab → Install / Update Audio Drivers (one admin prompt, audio restarts briefly). The row should read "Mic + Speaker + System installed". Then re-select the VisionMixer devices in your meeting app — apps sometimes silently fall back to built-ins after a device change.

Crackle, dropouts, or a dead channel

Open Status → Audio health: underruns tell you which channel struggled. Click Restart Audio (also in the mixer header and as a deck tile) — it rebinds every device and rebuilds the engines in about a second. Bluetooth devices that vanished mid-show reconnect automatically when they return.

A source froze

Every source has a Restart in its menu; screen captures also self-heal automatically. If a preview monitor ever freezes after closing and reopening a window, close and reopen that window — the view rebuilds fresh.

Permissions

The in-app banner lists anything missing. Screen Recording changes need an app relaunch to take effect (macOS rule, not ours).

Trial and license

"Trial ended" watermark with a valid key? Settings → License → Re-check license now. Seat limit reached? Deactivate one of the listed Macs from that Mac's own Settings, or contact support.
